Login & Account Access

Logging into GoBy is simple. Here's how:

📧 Login with Email + Password
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
1. Go to your franchise website's login page (e.g., /login/).
2. Enter your registered email address.
3. Enter your password.
4. Click "Sign In".
5. You'll be redirected to your dashboard based on your account type:
• Customer → Customer Dashboard
• Driver → Driver Dashboard (or Onboarding Pending if not yet approved)
• Business Owner → Business Dashboard (or Pending Approval page)

🔵 Login with Google

1. Click "Continue with Google" on the login page.
2. Select your Google account.
3. You're logged in instantly — no password required.

⚠️ Common Login Issues
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
• "Invalid credentials" — Check your email/password. Passwords are case-sensitive.
• "Email not verified" — You need to verify your email first. Check your inbox for the OTP.
• "Account suspended" — Your account has been suspended. Contact support for details.
• "Account pending approval" — For drivers/businesses, you'll see a pending status page after login. You can access limited features while waiting for admin approval.
• Locked out — After too many failed attempts, your login may be temporarily rate-limited. Wait a few minutes and try again.

📱 Mobile App Login
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
• Use the same email/password or Google login in the GoBy mobile app.
• Your session is authenticated via JWT tokens.
• Tokens auto-refresh so you stay logged in.
• For security, your session expires after extended inactivity.

Don't worry — resetting your password is quick and secure:

1️⃣ Go to the login page and click "Forgot Password?".

2️⃣ Enter your registered email address.

3️⃣ A password reset OTP will be sent to your email.
• The OTP is 6 digits and valid for 10 minutes.
• Check Spam/Junk if you don't see it.

4️⃣ Enter the OTP code on the reset page.

5️⃣ Set your new password:
• Minimum 8 characters
• Must include uppercase, lowercase, number, and special character
• Cannot be the same as your previous password
• Cannot be too similar to your name or email

6️⃣ You're done! Log in with your new password.

📌 Important Notes
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
• Rate limit: You can request a password reset up to 3 times per hour.
• If you used Google Sign-Up, you don't have a GoBy password. Simply log in using "Continue with Google" instead.
• For security, all existing sessions are terminated after a password reset.
• If you don't receive the reset email, contact GoBy Support.
